Abia’s Ikpeazu swears in five new permanent seconds

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia has sworn in five new permanent secretaries to promote the state government’s development agenda.

Mr. Ikpeazu urged the new permanent secretaries to come up with ideas that would give impetus to the government’s vision to transform the state.

Speaking at the swearing-in Monday at Government House, Umuahia, he urged them to respect their oath of office and not mix their personal interests with their official duties.

“Your arrival on board is strategic and the government will not accept anyone who slows down the wheel of governance.

“Adapt to our vision, understand it and pursue it with ruthless tenacity.

“Also cultivate a cordial relationship with your colleagues and develop programs that would improve the performance of the ministries to which you will be assigned,” Mr. Ikpeazu said.

The governor also expressed confidence that the new permanent secretaries would carry out their duties effectively.

Responding on behalf of the new permanent secretaries, Ugonwa Ejiogu, thanked the state government for the elevation and honor bestowed upon them.

Ms. Ejiogu assured that they would live up to expectations in carrying out their duties.

The new permanent secretaries are Chiazom Balogu, Ijeoma Onuoha-Ogwe, Iheanyichi Akoma and Charles Ifenkwe.
