Data Privacy Analyst, EMEA, Corning Incorporated, Hagen, Germany (or remotely)

The responsibility of the EMEA Data Privacy Analyst is to ensure privacy compliance for the company under applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in regional privacy laws, such as EU and UK GDPR, as well as other federal, state and local laws as required.
  • Document risk assessments for reported privacy incidents according to applicable standards.
  • Review Master Services Agreements, contracts, subcontracts, and other documents for privacy compliance requirements.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and transfer impact assessments and document privacy controls.
  • Assist in the development or revision of data privacy notices for regional project teams and corporate staff groups.
  • Lead or assist with virtual and/or on-site privacy audits.
  • Contribute to the development of training and awareness materials for the company and specific projects.
  • Plan and deliver training on data protection.
  • Respond to ad hoc questions related to privacy from internal and external clients.
  • Other assigned tasks.

Terms:

  • 3+ years of experience in data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, legal or equivalent function for a large matrix organization.
  • Ideally more than one year of experience in the field of confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of EU/UK GDPR.
  • European IAPP certification (CIPP/E) preferred.
  • Strong organization, detail oriented, analytical skills and problem solving abilities with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced or organizationally complex and deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong skills in English (spoken and written) and other foreign languages ​​if desired.
  • Must be a team player, but able to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Increased awareness of business ethics and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with OneTrust preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
