Eastern Ascension Arc is now hiring a Program Coordinator to provide oversight, program monitoring, program development, and management of day-to-day operations related to services for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.


  1. Bachelor’s degree in social services (rehabilitation counselling/disability services, social work, psychology, sociology, social sciences, social services, health care, allied health) OR bachelor’s degree in another field not mentioned above plus 1 year of work with a population with intellectual disabilities
  2. Ability to obtain a driver’s license and have a valid driver’s license
  3. A clean criminal background check
  4. Professional writing and communication skills
  5. Reliable transportation
  6. Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs and drive various vehicles
  7. Ability to use virtual platforms for meetings and activities
  8. Potential to develop creative ideas that will influence skills development and client inclusion
  9. Familiarity with Medicaid waiver programs for children, the elderly, people with developmental delays, intellectual delays, and special needs.

Tasks will include:

  • Supervise 10-12 employees who provide direct services to people with developmental and intellectual delays
  • Monitor services provided (including transportation) and ensure staff comply with state and federal regulations
  • Tracking progress and regression in skill development
  • Ensure that all services are reviewed quarterly and renewed annually
  • Complete required documentation through computer programs
  • Understand and apply rules, policies, procedures
  • Provide direct care service in accordance with assigned staff absence policies
  • Assist with respite and in-home services, as assigned or needed
  • Administer medication (if needed)

  • Be organized
  • Use Microsoft programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively
  • Manage other people’s time and schedules
  • Stay on top of changes with policy and procedures
  • Work well with others

COMPENSATION: This is a salary-based position, which includes health care benefits, PTO, agency cell phone, access to agency transportation (subject to availability ). Pay is bi-weekly. Salary starts at $35,568 per year.
