The US mission in Antananarivo is seeking eligible and qualified candidates for the position of Junior Consular Assistant within the Consulate.

OPENING DATE : October 5e, 2021
CLOSING DATE: October 19e , 2021
WORKING HOURS: Full time, 40 hours per week
The incumbent assists the consular officer and senior staff employed locally in the receipt and processing of all kinds of U.S. Citizen Services (ACS), Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) and Immigrant Visa (IV). The incumbent is primarily responsible for the cash in the section and fully responsible for reconciling and depositing all consular fees collected in the post. The incumbent acts as a replacement for senior executives employed locally in his absence. The incumbent performs other duties as assigned by the consular officer.
At least two years of college or university studies are required.
At least three years of professional experience providing excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build strong people-to-people relationships with employers, colleagues and authorities.
Level IV (fluent) English spoken / read / written is required (this will be tested).
Level IV (fluent) Spoken / read / written French is required.
Level IV (fluent) Speaking / Reading / Writing Malagasy is required.
