Housekeeping and cleaning attendants – £ 9.62 ph / £ 20,009.60 per year after a 3 month trial period

The housekeeping service is responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of all rooms, public areas of the atrium, hotel, orangery, paddock and pavilion. You will be part of a very dynamic team.

Main purpose and function

As a member of the housekeeping team, you will be able to work at your own pace and deliver an exceptional customer experience in a professional and efficient manner to all of our customers and guests.

Main area of ​​responsibility

  • Serving a number of rooms each day as per Whittlebury Park standards. Basic tasks will include changing / making the bed, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms. Replenish consumable items. Cleaning of common areas and the back of the house
  • To report any maintenance / damage or missing item issues to your supervisor
  • Report and protect all lost items by ensuring that they are all returned in accordance with company procedures
  • To report any smoking / sick room to your supervisor
  • Respond to customer requests in a voluntary and pleasant way because their satisfaction will be your priority
  • Make sure all keys taken are signed and disconnected daily to ensure the security of all keys
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to adopt a positive and flexible attitude to changing priorities and procedures, including changes in shifts / rotations
  • Respect the company’s procedures in terms of health and safety, safety and hygiene
  • Full knowledge and respect of fire evacuation procedures
  • Report any accident and potential danger to the department manager
  • To attend internal or external courses that management deems useful
  • Assist and advise new employees on all aspects and standards in all professional activities
  • To complete all online training within the allotted time
  • Carry out any reasonable request made by management
  • Be flexible in the tasks you require, helping in another department if the department head asks for it
  • With this role, there is a wait for weekend and weekend shifts
  • Full training can be provided

Whittlebury Park’s catering service spans the grounds with restaurants and bars in several buildings, serving our hotel guests, golf members, wedding guests and conference delegates.

Main objectives and role of the position

  • To provide high quality service to all of our customers in all dining areas in a warm, friendly, discreet, efficient and professional manner.
  • Keep food and beverage outlets running smoothly by working safely with team members collaboratively.
  • Maximize sales by knowing all our offers in the department and around the area, being able to offer and promote them to our customers in order to maximize their experience.
  • Promote Whittlebury Park and its facilities to all customers.

Main area of ​​responsibility

  • Focus on the day-to-day operations of food and beverage outlets, maintaining a high level of service and customer service in a clean, friendly and relaxed environment.
  • Preparation of service areas, cleaning of cutlery, crockery and glassware, moving and setting tables and handling table linen.
  • Treat customers in a polite and friendly manner
  • Greet guests and prepare and provide efficient food and beverage service
  • Cleaning the front and back areas of the house to make a good impression and to stay safe and hygienic
  • Areas of work may include restaurants, bars, spa, weddings, banquets, real estate events
  • Hours of work are variable and normally include weekend, evening and vacation periods
  • Full training can be provided
