First Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi is now operating from the Treasury building to carry out his duties pending the renovation of his railway office he is emerging.
Mudavadi has been allocated an office in the former Kenya Railways building on Haile Selassie Avenue, but he has not yet moved into the premises as it is undergoing renovations.
A report of TV47 reported that the mighty CS is now working at the Treasury building as the process continues, days after being sworn in Thursday, Oct. 27 at the State House.

Musalia Mudavadi: I love my new offices
During his vetting a fortnight ago, the former ANC leader expressed satisfaction with the offices of Kenya Railways from where he is expected to operate if approved by the National Assembly.

The former vice president argued that his new office would remind him of Kenyan workers despite being in the midst of a noisy bus scene.
According to Mudavadi, the railways are a place where the majority of hustlers get off every day, and that would put him close to the people who voted for Kenya’s Kwanza government.
“I am happy with the Kenya Railways office. Our constituents descend there every day. They will remind me daily that they are hard working Kenyans and for whom we have a duty to improve their lives. I am proud of this office,” Mudavadi said. Monday, October 17.

President William Ruto issued his first executive order, dubbed Executive Order No. 1 of 2022, which assigned functions and roles to departments of state.
From the executive decree, Mudavadi was assigned the headquarters of Kenya Railways as his official office.
The decision to award Mudavadi the office along Haile Selassie Avenue, known for the incessant noise emanating from public service vehicles and commuter trains terminating at Nairobi Central Station, drew mixed reactions.
It was earlier reported that Mudavadi and Vice President Rigathi Gachagua were both jostling for offices in the Harambee House annex.
The Vice President, however, occupied the Harambee Annex, opposite the Harambee House, where the President’s office is located.
