Executive Order of Ruto

President William Ruto issued his first executive order, dubbed Executive Order No. 1 of 2022, which assigned functions and roles to departments of state.

From the executive decree, Mudavadi was assigned the headquarters of Kenya Railways as his official office.

The decision to award Mudavadi the office along Haile Selassie Avenue, known for the incessant noise emanating from public service vehicles and commuter trains terminating at Nairobi Central Station, drew mixed reactions.

It was earlier reported that Mudavadi and Vice President Rigathi Gachagua were both jostling for offices in the Harambee House annex.

The Vice President, however, occupied the Harambee Annex, opposite the Harambee House, where the President’s office is located.
