Regtech Knowledge Center – Lexology

The HKMA announced the launch of the Regtech Knowledge Hub on its website on April 26, 2022. The Hub collects a wealth of material from across the HKMA website regarding Regtech and banks’ use of Regtech, including the Regtech Practice Guides that the HKMA has published over the past few months, use cases on Regtech, circulars on using Regtech and other fintech products and services for regulatory compliance, and various statements and documents of the HKMA itself. It is hoped that the Hub will encourage the sharing of experiences, ideas and expertise from various industry players and entities within the Regtech ecosystem in Hong Kong, including banks, Regtech service providers and of course the HKMA.

The creation of this hub is a new step in HKMA’s plans (Fintech 2025 and the HKMA Regtech Roadmap) to encourage the adoption by authorized institutions, including banks, of the large number of technological solutions, Regtech and fintech products and services. By encouraging and promoting the adoption of these products and solutions, it is hoped that the Hong Kong banking industry can provide more efficient and user-friendly service and products to its customers in Hong Kong, moving the banking industry forward into the future. .
