Riyan Parag’s mother’s message to her son is encouraging but moving
First Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Rajasthan Royals (RR) resumed their campaign in the ongoing second leg of IPL Season 14 on Tuesday, September 21, on a positive note against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) . The team then beat the team led by KL Rahul by two points in the final bullet thriller. Despite the Punjab victory, young and future cricketer Riyan Parag came under heavy criticism due to his lack of contribution to his team’s success. Beating at number 6, Parag only managed to score four points on five balls on the hitting area at Dubai International Stadium.
Parag also didn’t have an impact with the ball for Rajasthan as he conceded 16 points in the single most he played. RR so far in IPL.
After such a response from cricketers fans, the 19-year-old cricketer shared a message from his mother on Twitter, saying she still knows how he feels. “Maaa. She knows. Always,” Parag captioned the WhatsApp screenshot on Twitter.
“How are you Baba?” Don’t stop believing in your abilities, ”the post read.
Moving on to Parag’s IPL career, he has so far played 27 Indian Premier League matches and scored 328 points including one fifty. He also chose three wickets in the cash-rich league. During the current IPL season, he conceded 82 points and selected only one wicket in the eight games he represented Rajasthan Royals (RR).
When Rajasthan takes on the Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday, Parag will be hoping to leave an impact on his team’s scoreboard.
Following their victory over Punjab, Rajasthan has now moved up to fifth place in the IPL standings, one place below the play-offs, with eight points in eight games.
