JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY: Daily liaison at headquarters for assigned country programs, advocating for program needs within the organization and coordinating communications between all departments, including compliance, programming, logistics, legal, security, human resources and communication.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coordination of program activities: Work with assigned country programs on the coordination of program activities and support activities. Support special initiatives and programs.

2. Support to the Country Mission: Regularly deploys to the field to assist with start-up, staff coverage and close-out

3. Grant Administration: Ensures that donor and internal reports are submitted on time and in accordance with contractual obligations for covered countries. Monitor grant performance and assigned overall country portfolio and report any issues to the Program Manager

4. Donor Relations and Notifications: External representation as needed with donors

JOB REQUIREMENTS *

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Usually a bachelor’s degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted, where applicable. • Typically 5+ years of relevant experience supporting relief and development projects in the field, at least 2 years of field work experience in the sector • Certification in project management • Proposal development and donor reporting with experience of IMC’s major donors • Experience in effectively managing field and headquarters staff, and the ability to deal with a wide range of people • Experience in effective project management and financial management in a multi-partner or multi-agency consortium • In-depth knowledge of project cycle management • Logical framework project planning and design • Proposal development • Knowledge of major donor rules and regulations • Report writing • Good skills in research • Ability to read, analyze and interpret donor regulations and requirements; • Strong analytical skills to determine overall grant performance • Ability to use creativity, reasoning, past experience, information and available resources to solve problems • Ability to present information effectively and answer questions from management and field programs
