The Town of Russell received a Community Development Block Grant of $ 150,000 to help local for-profit businesses maintain jobs for low to moderate income earners.

CV3 funding can help these businesses address issues triggered by the COVID-19 virus and when no other funding is available.

The Town of Russell is accepting CV3 requests for assistance until August 31, 2021.

Eligible working capital expenses can include inventory and supplies, utilities, payroll and wages, rent, property taxes, insurance, postage, advertising, etc.

Construction, existing debt, contract labor, and city or county owned utilities are not eligible.

Applications can be picked up at Town Hall at the City Clerk’s Office located at 133 West 8th Street in Russell. Please contact [email protected] to request an application by email.

Applications must be completed and submitted to the town hall during opening hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A CDBG Grants Administrator will review applications to ensure they are complete and eligible. After that, Russell City Council will review and allocate funds based on demonstrated need with available funds.

If additional funding remains after August 31, the Town of Russell will make an announcement for round two funding.
