While Father Time caught up with K-9 “Shadow”, that didn’t stop him from taking one last hit on the sleeve, as is the tradition at our agency for our K-9 Heroes when we say goodbye to them. .

K-9 “Shadow” officially began his career with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in 2011, where he served as a dual-purpose and narcotic patrol K-9 until his retirement in 2019.

Throughout his career he has had numerous criminal arrests, narcotics discoveries and also participated in countless school protests and events.

“Shadow” lived a spoiled retirement life at home with Corporal Roth’s family and never really retired as in his new role he was tasked with looking after Corporal Roth’s shortly-born daughter. after his official retirement.

On its final patrol car ride, the K-9 “Shadow” was escorted by our K-9 units, our countywide law enforcement partners’ K-9 Handlers, and the K -9 Handlers from Patrick Space Force Base to his final resting place. place in Titusville.
